My last two years of high school, I was a cook at Howard Johnson's. John was a few years older, and I believe attending Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. He was my boss there. He was great guy to work for. He knew how to walk the line between boss and friend. We worked hard, had fun.
It was the early 70's. I can't remember the exact muscle car he owned at that time, but it was a lot cooler than my old beater. All that just to say we all thought he was pretty cool.
I was surprised to find out that he was the father-in-law of my ISA friend Rich. Small world.
