Joseph L. Hirn

Joseph L. "Joey" Hirn, 76, of Yukon, died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at his home. He was born July 3, 1939, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Saltzman) Hirn. Prior to his retirement, he was a co-owner of J.C. Home Improvement. He was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Yukon. Joe loved hunting and fishing and also loved antique cars. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Catherine and Gladys Hirn. Surviving is his wife of 47 years, Vivian (Korosec) Hirn; son, Robert A. Hirn, of Greensburg; daughter, Beth Janoski and her husband, Michael, of Irwin; three grandchildren, Joseph R., Jacob C. and Sarah A. Hirn; sister, Margie Muellerleile and her husband, Chuck, of Mt. Pleasant; a special friend, his dog, Teddy Bear; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the BEATTY - RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Yukon, with Father Jonathan Wisniewski as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Seven Dolors Church Cemetery, South Huntingdon Township.
