Joseph Perhac Obituary

Joseph R. Perhac, 71, of Murrysville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021. He was born in Latrobe, son of the late Joseph A. and Helen G. (Kalisz) Perhac. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Babich, Judith Palenchar and Jeanne Frank. An avid sportsman, Joe loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed not only the sport, but the friendships and camaraderie built in the woods and on the water. His love of the outdoors was infectious and he took special pleasure in sharing that love with friends, as well as nurturing the beauty of the outdoors with younger generations. Witty, full of heart, intelligent, caring, a prankster, ready to laugh, large-and-in-charge, inventive and champion of the underdog are all words and terms that describe Joe. With a tenacious level of independence, he started his own business, Logi-Tec Inc., a technology company specializing in the mining industry, 38 years ago and grew it from a garage dream to a successful business that thrives on a strong work ethic, a commitment to outstanding quality and customer service, and with an intentionally stable base that can continue to grow. Always ready to offer encouragement and a hand-up to those in need, Joe was also a strong supporter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation and other charities. His love for his wife, Joyce, was his most cherished accomplishment and his loss leaves a vast hole that only time and memories will be able to fill. And his love for the newest addition in his life, a little four-legged, fur-baby was unrivaled. With a voice loud and completely off-key, he filled her days with songs, peanut butter, and lots of snuggles. No two females were loved and cherished more. Joseph is survived by his wife, Joyce (Blasko) Perhac; two sisters, Constance Trongo and Joyce (Marvin) Eicher; brother-in-law, Michael Palenchar; numerous nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021, at HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville, with a blessing service at 12:30 p.m. A luncheon for family, friends and guests will be held immediately after. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. www.hartfuneralhomeinc.com.

Our deepest sympathy to you Joyce and your family & friends. Paul and I have been so blessed to have had a wonderful friendship with Joe. Joe was so great that three years of really getting to know him; though not long enough, has given us a lifetime of memories. He so loved you, Joyce, his puppy and loved life. God has a truly honorable man at his side. He will be forever missed by us, but never forgotten.
