Kenneth Armstrong Obituary

H. Kenneth Armstrong Jr., 85, of Irwin, completed his earthly journey Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2025, in Hempfield Manor. He was born on May 5, 1939, in Irwin, a son of the late H. Kenneth Armstrong Sr. and Edith (Keefer) Armstrong. Prior to retirement, he was employed by Tri-State Hospital Supply, and he was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Ken was a very patriotic man and loved God, his family, his country, and sports. He was a member of the Penn Rod and Gun Club and the VFW of Irwin, and he most recently attended Cornerstone Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Armstrong. He is survived by two daughters, Brenda Ramsey (Timothy) and Amy Smail (Gary); six grandchildren, Ashley, Zachary, Kelsey, Tyler, Shelby, and Natalie; two great-grandchildren, Gabriel and Charlotte; two brothers, Terry Armstrong (Annie) and Daniel Armstrong (Ruth); and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Monday, at 11:00 a.m., in MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette. Interment with military rites will follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.
