Kenneth J. Litzinger

Kenneth J. "Ken" Litzinger, 83, of Delmont, formerly of Pitcairn, died peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at home, with his loving family at his side. He was born Nov. 4, 1933, in Pitcairn, a son of the late Chris and Mary (George) Litzinger. Ken was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a manager in the structural steel construction industry. He was a Korean War veteran, having served with the Army. Ken was a member of St. John Baptist de Ia Salle Catholic Church, Delmont. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, W.E. Litzinger and C.J. Litzinger. Ken will be greatly missed by his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Donna J. (Booher) Litzinger; daughters, Katherine A. Ciufo and Sharon M. McIntyre; sons, Joseph M. Litzinger, Lester A Litzinger and Kenneth C. Litzinger; brother, R.H. Litzinger; sister, Ruth Litzinger; and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his grandchildren, all of whom he was very proud.
Respecting Ken's wishes, all arrangements and inurnment in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, will be private. VAIA FUNERAL HOME INC., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, 724-468-1177, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
