Kenneth McCoy Obituary

Kenneth "Kenny" Wayne McCoy, 77, of Gilpin Township, passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, at home, Friday, Oct. 20, 2023. Kenny was born Dec. 5, 1945, to the late Russell and Dorothy (Beers) McCoy. He attended Leechburg High School, then enlisted in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. He worked 30 years for Allegheny Ludlum Steel, retiring in 2004. A year later, he came out of retirement to join his wife, Lisa, at Happy Day Cafe, in Leechburg, where he was her best friend, right-hand-man, holiday decorator and the love of her life. He will be deeply missed. Kenny enjoyed going to and watching the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates. He also loved being in command of the remote control to watch his favorite old classic TV shows, along with listening to the oldies, especially the music of the fifties. He had a way of making our house a home and giving the family many cherished memories. Kenny is survived by his wife, Lisa (Caracciolo) McCoy; stepdaughter, Tara Ronian (Jake); brothers, John McCoy, of Denver, Colo., and Jerry McCoy (Dolly), of North Apollo; father-in-law, Matthew Caracciolo, of Gilpin Township; brother-in-law, Matthew C. Caracciolo (Bridget), of Iowa City, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Linda Williams, of Iowa City, Iowa, and Diane Crawford, of Vandergrift; nieces, Paula, Samantha, Rhonda, Cindy, Amy, Lisa, Tracy, Jamie and Susan; nephews, Scotty, Russell and Juan; as well as many great and grand-great-nieces and nephews; and last and least, his brother, Paul McCoy (Karen). In addition to his parents, Kenny was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Baker (Merle); sister-in-law, Nancy McCoy (John); mother-in-law, Shirley Caracciolo (Matthew); brothers-in-law, Allan Caracciolo and Steven Williams; and a great-niece, Kaileigh McCoy. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at the CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg, 724-842-1051. Interment will be private at Forks Church Cemetery in Gilpin Township. Condolences to the McCoy family may be offered at www.clawsonfuneralhome.com.
