Lisa M. Lupyan

1957 - 2023

Lisa Marie Lupyan, 66, of Derry, passed away peacefully Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023, in her home, surrounded by love from her family. She was born April 10, 1957, in Latrobe, a daughter of the Late Samuel Buscaglio and Joann (Wasco) Buscaglio Hellein, who survives. Lisa enjoyed swimming, shopping, exercising and spending time with her grandchildren. She earned a master's degree in adult education as a graduate from IUP. She was formerly employed by WyoTech and Latrobe Steel. In addition to her mother, Lisa is survived by her husband, Donald E. Lupyan; her children, A.J. Filloy (Eileen), of Oak Ridge, N.C., Dustin Filloy and girlfriend, Jamill Bivins, of Latrobe, Chris Lupyan (Julie), of Latrobe, and Candice Gaddy (Larry), of Woodsboro, Md.; one brother, Samuel Buscaglio (Judy), of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Gina Liu (Bob), of Gilbert Ariz., and Nicole Buscaglio, of Latrobe; five grandchildren, Layne Gaddy, Caris Filloy, Michael, Ryan and Cody Boyce; father-in-law, Edward Lupyan; sister in-law, Diane Coleman, of Ligonier; brothers-in-law, Moses Lupyan (Kelly), of North Carolina, Mike Lupyan (fiancee Meloni), of Blairsville, and Craig Lupyan (Melinda), of Blairsville; several nieces and nephews; and her precious four-leggers, Zoey the dog and Steeler the cat. Lisa was preceded in death by her father; mother-in-law, Mary Lupyan; and brother-in-law, Kevin Coleman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center at Mountain View, 200 Village Drive, Greensburg, or Action for Animals. Lisa was a supporter of the Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare (BREW) organization that can be found at brewbeagles.org. A blessing service will be celebrated at 12;30 p.m. Friday, Dec.15, 2023, with Father Ronald Maquinana as celebrant, in the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, Derry. Family will receive friends from 1:30 until 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
