Lois Luko Obituary

Lois Jean Luko, 73, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2009, in Loyalhanna Care Center. She was born Feb. 13, 1936, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Jeter and Margaret (Miller) Heintzelman. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church. Besides her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Luko. She is survived by four daughters, Debora Reese and her husband, Daniel, of Derry, Julia Christopher and her husband, Michael, of Greensburg, Sharon Bozich and her husband, Michael, of New Alexandria, and Diane VanAlstine and her husband, Terry, of Bellevue, Neb.; five grandchildren, Susan Culp and her husband, James, of State College, Zachary Tomich and his fiancee, Sarah Sobota, of Derry, Jacob Tomich, of Greensburg, Michael Hallahan and his wife, Renee, of Massachusetts, and Matthew Bollinger, of Latrobe; four great-grandchildren, Emily and Ryan Culp and Kianna Leukdee and Gabriel Hallahan. Family and friends will be received from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral liturgy at 11 a.m. Friday in the JOHN J.LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, with the Rev. Anthony Carbone officiating. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. The family would like to thank all the employees at Loyalhanna Care Center for the loving care they have given to our mother over the past several years. It was so very much appreciated.
