Luann P. Yourish

1965 - 2024

Luann P. Yourish, 59, of Acme passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, in Independence Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born on Jan. 11, 1965, in Greensburg a daughter of Merle E. and Anna Bulebush Shields of Acme. Luann was a graduate of Mount Pleasant Area High School and a graduate of Westmoreland County Community College where she received her nursing degree. She working as a nurse at various places in the area for 30 years. Luann was an active volunteer for all of her children's activities especially at Geibel High School. She had a big heart and would take in many stray animals over the years. She loved shopping. cooking and cooking shows, " No one ever left her home hungry". She was a member of St. Raymond of the Mountains Roman Catholic Church, Donegal. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Robert J. Yourish; her children, Jay Yourish of Acme, and her triplets, Gabrielle, Jesse and Gillian Yourish, all of Acme; her brother, Troy Shields of Acme; her sister, Lori Arzenti of Mount Pleasant; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and her pets, pet dog, Mazie and pet cat, Minnie. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m., Monday, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Raymond of the Mountains R. C. Church with Rev, Anthony Onoko as celebrant.( Everyone please go directly to the church.) Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Kecksburg. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to onebyonerescue,org or to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, PanCan, at pancan.org in memory of Luann P. Yourish.
