Mark A. Tucci

1949 - 2018

Mark Anthony Tucci, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, in the UPMC-Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Tucci was born Dec. 6, 1949, in Washington, Pa., the son of the late Amel and Genevieve Parry Tucci. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church. Mark was a 1967 graduate of Washington High School, and received his degree from the University Of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 1972. He was a member of Lambda Sigma Rho fraternity. Mark had been employed for more than 27 years as a licensed pharmacist for Revco and CVS Pharmacies. He was a member of the Open Doors for the Handicapped and had also been active in delivering meals on wheels. He served on the patient advisory committee for all abilities, and was a patient representative for DCI in Mt. Pleasant. Mark wanted to thank the staff of DCI for their care and friendship and his personal care attendants for their loving care. Mark is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by numerous cousins and close friends. In addition to Mark's parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith "Judy" Christie Tucci, in July 2016; and by his sister, Janet Tucci Schneider, in 2011.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. A blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by his funeral Mass at 11 a.m. in St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard J. Kosisko as celebrant. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
