Mary Maddock Obituary

Mary Lou Maddock, 82, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg. She was born Aug. 21, 1930, in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Louis and Roseann Exton Forgie. Mary Lou was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church, North Huntingdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leroy W. Maddock in 2004; and her brother-in-law, Gregg Ashcroft. She is survived by two sons, Wayne L. and his wife, Michelle, of North Huntingdon, and Scott W. and his wife, Pattie, of Irwin; one daughter, Sharon Hess and her husband, Jamie, of Irwin; one sister, Ruth Ann Ashcroft, of Penn Hills; grandchildren, Jeff Maddock (wife, Melissa), Jennifer Martin (husband, J.C.), Summer Steiner (husband, Jimmy), Mike Maddock, Alex and Victoria Hess; and two great-grandchildren, Daniel and Caleb Maddock. Friends were received last Thursday at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. A funeral service was held last Friday in New Hope Presbyterian Church with Pastor Janet Reid officiating. Interment at Westmoreland County Memorial Park. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Redstone Highlands Health Care Center in Greensburg along with the Family Hospice and her two lifelong friends, Jeanne and Roberta. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redstone Highlands, 6 Garden Center Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601, or the Parkinson's Foundation, 3468 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237. http://www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
