Mary L. Tandaric

1925 - 2017

Mary L. Tandaric, 92, of Mammoth, passed away peacefully Friday, Dec. 29, 3017, at Walnut Ridge Memory Care Center. She was born March 24, 1925, a daughter of the late Mary and Ignatius Palcic. Mary loved crocheting, working puzzles, coloring and doing outside flowers. She was a lifetime member at St. Florian Church, and a lifetime associate member of St. Florian Altar Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Michael; brothers, Ignatius, Steve and George; sisters, Ann, Pauline, Kay and Agnes. She is survived by her daughter, Debbie and husband, Frank "Chip" Chappell; grandchildren, Amy and husband, TJ Gibson, Frank and Anna Chappel; and three great-grandchildren, Cade, Samuel and Piper Gibson, all from Gilbert, Ariz; and a sister, Marge Palcic.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, in the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt. Vigil prayers will be held at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Transfer prayers will be at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by her funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Florian Church, United, with the Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a luncheon after the service at Social Area of United Club.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Florian Altar Society or Excela Hospice.
