Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (724-887-5300 / www.fergusonfunerals.com / GPS: N40 degrees 06.136, W79 degrees 35.278). Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, where a funeral liturgy will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday with Father Bob Lubic officiating. Final resting place will be in St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Scottdale.

I am so sorry of Matt passing. I grew up with him next door from the time he moved in when he was about 4 yrs old. Even when the new house was built we got together. And when I moved out of state & came home to my moms on market st. we would get together and visit. Since my mother passed I haven't seen Matt. About 3 wks ago I was thinking of Matt alot & wanted to call him. I'm so sorry I didnt.
I was thinking of one time we cut a hole in the wall between his bedroom & in the closet of my bedroom so we could talk. Was a long time before our families found it.
Another time I went up to their new house on the farm to visit for the day with new tennis shoes. His uncle yelled acoss the field for him to go get the cows in for milking. Well there was 2 cows acoss the creek that wouldn't come up that we had to go get. Being I had new tennis shoes on- Matt said to get on his back & he'd carry me across. Well, you know what happened of course. We both kinda fell in. Matt was like a brother I never had. I have so many great memories of growing up with him.
Just wanted all of you to know what a great friend he was. Miss him & will continue to miss him.
