Michael Kaczmarek Obituary

Michael J. "Kutch" Kaczmarek, 84, of Scottdale, died Tuesday, May 31, 2022, in the Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Health Care Center Greensburg. Mr. Kaczmarek was born in Mt. Pleasant Dec. 8, 1937, son of the late Michael and Catherine Dreliszak Kaczmarek. He was a 1956 graduate of Ramsey High School and member of Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church. Michael was self-employed as owner/partner of Gulisek Construction from 1969 until he retired at age 70, and had been a member of the Carpenters Union for over 50 years. Kutch was also a member of the Polish Falcons, active member of Big Bend Boat Club since 1978, Ducks Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed spending time on his large 98-acre farm in Scottdale with his thoroughbred horses and his beloved dog, Kelsey. He is survived by his loving children, Mary Beth Czerniak and husband, David, of Mt. Pleasant, M. Scott Kaczmarek and wife, Linda, of Greensburg, and J. Andrew Kaczmarek and wife, Lori, of Youngwood; his daughter-in-law, Kimberly N. Kaczmarek; his brother, Eugene Kaczmarek, of Mt. Pleasant; and his sister, Marcella Bilik, of Norvelt. He will be missed greatly by his beloved grandchildren, Courtney Diehl (Jordan), Christopher M. Kaczmarek, Luke D. Czerniak, Lauren L. Czerniak, Brook A. Logoyda (Mark) , Kinley P., Cambree E., and Kendall S. Kaczmarek; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Aiden and Zander Diehl. Michael is also survived by his cherished nieces and nephews, Terrence Madarish (Connie), David Kaczmarek (Wendy) and Dani Ann Lueker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Hammond Kaczmarek, in 2011; his son, Michael D Kaczmarek, in 2019; and his brother, Daniel D. Kaczmarek, in 2017. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2022, at GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME, 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant. Michael's funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 4, in the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church (Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial donation in memory of Michael J. "Kutch" Kaczmarek to the Big Bend Boat Club.
