Michelle L. Jurkovic, 54, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. She was born Nov. 7, 1967, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of Carol Barrick Kubic, of Mt. Pleasant, and the late Philip Jurkovic. Michelle was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant Area High School, Class of 1985. She received her bachelor's degree from Clarion University in marketing. She was previously employed as a production manager for Fortune Magazine in Manhattan and was currently employed by Energy Transfer, Greensburg. Michelle loved to travel, especially overseas, and she loved the beach. She was fun loving and full of life. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her stepfather, Dennis Kubic; her daughter, Autumn, who was the love and light of her life; her brother, P. Ryan Jurkovic and his wife, Stephanie, of Maryland, and their children, Sara, John and Nate; her loving companion, Nick Oddo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins, including a special aunt and uncle, Kim and Kevin Brasher. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Thomas and Thelma Barrick; her paternal grandparents, Michael and Elizabeth Jurkovic; and her maternal step-grandparents, Oscar and Helen Kubic. Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Paul Lisik as celebrant. Everyone please go directly to the church.
