Norman P. Mueller

1936 - 2021

Norman P. Mueller, 84, of Level Green, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, in the home of his daughter, Carolyn, in Indiana, Pa. Norman was born Oct. 21, 1936, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Edmund and Mary (Kramer) Mueller. Norman graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a master's in engineering, and he retired from Westinghouse Nuclear in Monroeville, where he was a holder of several patents. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time at The Farm, his family retreat. He loved watching NCIS, John Wayne movies and Westerns and playing Sudoku. He also loved taking care of his dog, Nellie. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Lois Ann (Logan) Mueller, in 2016; his daughter, Mary Lynn Mueller; and siblings, Edmund Mueller and Mary Grace Muha. Norman is survived by his children, Norm Mueller (Tracy), of Greensburg, Carolyn Carey (Jeff), of Indiana, Pa., Bill Mueller (Huan), of Norfolk, Va., and John Mueller (Terri), of Manor; his 15 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and his siblings, David Mueller, Arthur Mueller, Gloria O'Neil, Tom Mueller, Diane Gaupp, Donna Brown and Rita Kormick. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 Seventh St. (State Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. Norman's funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with his grandson, Nick Carey, officiating.
