Paul Kirtland Obituary

Paul L. Kirtland, 72, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at his home. He was born July 30, 1941, in Latrobe, a son of the late Robert Wesley and Josephine (Noel) Kirtland. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by USX Edgar Thompson Works, Braddock, with 34 years of service. He was an Army veteran, a member of the NRA and enjoyed fishing and putting models together. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Ambrose Kirtland; and two sisters, Helen Marie Kirtland and his twin sister, Pauline Kirtland Pawlik. He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Eugene Kirtland, of Kansas City, Mo., and Karl James Kirtland, at home; two grandsons, Ricky Rich, stationed at Fort Jackson, S.C., and Dillon James Kirtland, of Derry; a sister, Edna Mae Fritz, of Ligonier; three aunts, Helen Gower and Rita Campbell, of Latrobe, and Edna Mae Drap, of Bovard; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be receive from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with Samuel L. Batten officiating. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard. http://www.bachafuneralhomeinc.com.
