Philip Adams Obituary

Philip Joseph Adams, 59, of McClellandtown, formerly of Connellsville, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, April 7, 2011, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, with his loving family at his side. He was born April 14, 1951, in Connellsville, a son of Catherine Muchnok Adams, of Smithfield, and the late Francis Adams. Philip was a graduate of Connellsville Area High School, where he was a standout football player, and Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia. He was an avid model car builder. He loved his family and his God, being very religious, reading the Bible on a daily basis. In addition to his loving mother, Catherine, he is survived by his loving brother and sisters, Francis E. Adams Jr., of Connellsville, Sandra Miller, of Smithfield, Marilyn Moncheck and husband, Leonard, of Uniontown, Cheryl Rega and husband, Mike, of Mt. Pleasant, Joanne DiCristofaro and husband, Dean, of Greensburg, and Lisa Gibson and husband, Paul, of Newnan, Ga.; his beloved nieces and nephews, Jason Miller and wife Heidi; Mike Miller and wife Crystal; Ryan Moncheck and wife Maria and their children, Levi, Evan and Vincent; Staci Hiles and her children, Caileigh and Macy; Schuyler Moncheck, Mike Rega, Lindsay Rega, Alyssa DiCristofaro, Jessica Gibson and Ben Gibson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and until 10:30 a.m. Monday, when prayers of transfer will be said, in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Ave., Uniontown, followed by an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Father Andrew M. Kawecki as celebrant. Interment follows in St. John Cemetery (Brookvale). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Philip's name to St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
