Ralph Stofko Irwin Ralph E. Stofko, 60, of Irwin, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at home. He was born Feb. 18, 1952, in Greensburg, a son of Sophie V. (Lubiniecki) Stofko, of Greensburg, and the late Martin J. Stofko. He was also preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Terry L. Shields. Ralph worked as a welder for Craft Manufacturing, Latrobe, for more than 33 years, was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the Army reserves. He was a life member of VFW Post 33, Greensburg, and past president of the Honor Guard, a member of the American Legion Post 981 South Greensburg, and the South Greensburg Hunting Club. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. (Bickerstaff) Stofko, of Irwin; daughters, Angela Jo Clark and Tina Marie (Larry) Swindell, both of Mt. Pleasant; stepchildren, Jeff (Carol) Shields, of North Irwin, Richard Shields, of Irwin, and Tom (Veronica) Shields, of North Huntingdon; grandchildren, Brennan Hayes, Madison and Megan Swindell, and Emily and Jeffrey Shields; his brother, Jeffrey (Jayne) Stofko, of Greensburg; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's Church, 820 Carbon Road, Greensburg. Those attending meet at the church. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
