Ramon O. "Butch" Kennedy, 84, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, in Excela Health Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Bell Aire, Ohio, a son of the late Hector and Mary (Campbell) Kennedy. Prior to retirement, Butch was a supervisor in the melt shop at Timken Latrobe Steel. He had over 40 years of service with the company. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Merchant Marine and the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Thomas B. Anderson American Legion Post #515, the F.O.E. Tony Angelo Aerie 01188, and the B.P.O.E. Lodge #907. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine "Pooce" (Doherty) Kennedy in 1970; and a sister, Charlotte Pershing. He is survived by two daughters, Linda Kennedy, of Atlanta, Ga., and Jeanne Bohrer, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two grandchildren, Brian Bohrer, of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Jennifer Bohrer, of Denver, Colo.; and two sisters, Lois Jean McWilliams, of Latrobe, and Marge Donnelly and her husband, Jim, of Derry. He will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Military services, accorded by the combined funeral detail of American Legion Post #515 and VFW Post #3414, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Donald W. Graff officiating. Interment will be private. If desired, memorial contributions may he made to the United Presbyterian Church, Spring and Alexandria streets, Latrobe, PA 15650.
