Richard Hooper Obituary

Richard William Hooper, 27, of Scottdale, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2025. Richard was born June 17, 1997, in Mount Pleasant, a son of Jayne Marie Bossart and Robert C. Hooper. Richard was a graduate of Southmoreland High School, class of 2016, and was employed for several years as a Baler with Cenveo Envelope Inc. He had a love for animals, especially his two cats, Brewster and Socks. In addition to his parents, Richard will be sadly missed by his sister, Shauna Gordon (Dave) of Connellsville; his two brothers, Ryan Bossart (Diana) of St. Charles, IL, and Robert Charles Hooper (Jonathan) of Scottdale; his nephews, Chase Bossart and David Gordon; his special aunts, Angel Bossart (Noah) of Connellsville, Carol Bair (Ken) of Greensburg, and Lisa Bossart of Madison, OH; and several other aunts and uncles. Richard was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nancy (Black) and William Bossart Sr.; his paternal grandmother, Linda (Hatcher) Greenawalt; and his three uncles, Robert Bossart Sr., William Bossart Jr., and David K. Bossart. Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the ROBERT B. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 105 Spring St., Scottdale (http://www.fergusonfunerals.com).
