1938 - 2025

Richard S. Hudock Sr., 87, of Loyalhanna, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at St. Anne Home, Greensburg. Born April 20, 1938, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Steve M. and Susanna (Moyer) Hudock. Richard was a member of St. Rose Church. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Teledyne Vasco. He was an avid Steelers fan. In his younger years, Richard enjoyed stock car racing, which led to a lifelong interest in the world of NASCAR. He was also an animal lover, especially when it came to his dogs. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara (Reeping) Hudock; and a grandson, Eric Kromel. Richard is survived by two daughters, Audrey R. Kromel and her husband, Michael, of Blairsville and Denise M. Tatone and her husband, George, of Derry; three sons, Richard S. Hudock Jr. and his wife, Anita, of Latrobe, Thomas S. Hudock and his wife, Veronica, of Latrobe, and Douglas A. Hudock and his wife, Kerri, of Latrobe; 13 grandchildren, Michael Kromel and his wife, Taylor, Ryan Kromel and his wife, Lauren, Elizabeth Piper and her husband, Lee, Tara Tatone, Anthony Tatone and his wife, Brandy, Troy Tatone, Karlie White and her husband, Spencer, Erika Hudock, Ashley Tedesco and her husband, Domenic, Alison Hauser and her husband, Jeremy, Dex Hudock, and Benson Hudock; 11 great-grandchildren, Sophia and Hines Kromel, Naomie and Nadia Tatone, Jaxon, Enslee, and Lainey Piper, Sydney White, Tred and Thomi Tedesco, and Billie Ann Hauser. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Anne Home and Independence Health Hospice for their excellent care and compassion. At his request, there will be no public visitations. Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Action for Animals, P.O. Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
