Richard Oskin Obituary

Richard Francis Oskin, 98, of Plum, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on Dec. 10, 1926, in Imperial, to the late John and Marie Rose Criquellion Oskin. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, with a particular fondness for hunting, fishing, and tending to his garden. Richard cherished the moments he spent with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Oskin; sons, Emil and Richard D. Oskin; sister, Lois Gerard; and brothers, John, Emil, Joe, and Hilbert Oskin. Richard is survived by his children, Cristopher (Melissa) Oskin and Iris (Donn) Clute; daughter-in-law, Sandra Oskin; grandchildren, Richard T. Oskin, Matthew (Jamie) Oskin, Stefanie (Christopher) Ruane, Nathan (Andrea) Clute, and Lindsey Clute; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, in JOSEPH J. CARDARO FUNERAL HOME, 1125 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, 724-337-3325.
