Robert C. McHenry, 66, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at home, surrounded by family. Born June 10, 1957 in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Charles 'Boo' McHenry and Elaine (Keffer) McHenry. Bob was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed for 30 years by Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg as Director of Finance. For years, Bob was proud of coaching numerous girls fast-pitch softball teams and various boys' baseball teams for West Point Little League. He was also a member of the Standard Steel Bowling League for 30 years. Bob was an avid golfer, and sports fan, especially all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. Above all, he was a devoted family man. He was passionate about the quality time he spent with his family and friends. Some of his favorite memories include family beach vacations in Myrtle Beach. Bob is survived by his wife and best friend of 42 years, Nancy; one daughter Meghan (Eric) of Newport News, VA; one son, Matthew (Jacqueline) of Elizabeth, PA; two sisters, Beth Harris (Larry) of Bethel Park, and Jennifer Lorence (Erik) of League City, TX; one grandson, Finnegan McHenry; two nephews, Jake Harris and Eli Kirk; and one niece, Emma Harris; along with his little dog, Dorie. Our family would like to sincerely thank Excela Home Health and Hospice and all of their staff for their continuous care and compassion of Bob. In addition, special thanks to Dr. Jan Drappatz, M.D., Department of Neurology, Ashley Pritchard, PA-C, Lauren Theis, RN at Hillman Cancer Center for their genuinely sincere support and professionalism shown to Bob and his family. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024 at the LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2024 at Sacred Heart Church, Youngstown with Rev. James Podlesny O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg.
