Robert W. Schafer

Robert W. Schafer, 80, of North Versailles, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Root) Schafer; loving dad of Scott (Anne) Schafer and Kimberly (Paul) Dshuhan; special grandpa of Kailee, Ryan, Brennan, Samantha and Bryce; brother of Carol (John) Jarko, Ronald (Pat) Tatrai and the late John Schafer; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Schafer was a professional photographer, owning his own studios and capturing thousands of priceless photos and videos. He served his country in the Army and was a member of the Linway Church and Norwin Alliance Church. Friends welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME, 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, 412-824-4332. Services will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Norwin Alliance Church, North Huntingdon, with military honors to follow. Interment will take place on Monday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
