Sara E. (Higginbotham) Campbell, 94, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She was born August 6, 1931 in Grindstone, a daughter of the late Robert and Nellie Frances (Little) Higginbotham. She was a longtime active member of First United Methodist Church, Irwin and a member of the Happy Methodists and the United Methodist Women. Sara was a teacher's assistant for 29 years at the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Wendell H. Campbell, her son-in-law Michael Hensler and siblings Robert, George, Donald, and James Higginbotham. She is survived by her children Judith Ann Hensler of Manor, Cheryl (John) McCafferty, and Roger (Karen) Campbell of both of North Huntingdon; her grandchildren Nathan Hensler, Hillary Hensler (Javier Araya), John McCafferty, and Katie Moberg (Tim); great grandchildren Keegan, Levi, Everly, and Everett; siblings Ronald Higginbotham of Bridgeton, NJ and Lloyd Higginbotham of Grindstone; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 20, in the First United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Union Cemetery.
