Sharon Shirley Obituary

Sharon Lee Shirley, 74, of New Kensington, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022. Sharon was born June 20, 1948, in New Kensington, to the late James E. and Doris G. (Pierce) Shirley. She was a graduate of Plum High School and New Kensington Commercial School. Sharon was a certified phlebotomist at UPMC Shadyside Hospital. Surviving her are her son, Michael J. Shirley Sr., of New Kensington; two grandchildren, Alexis Michelle Shirley and Michael J. Shirley Jr.; and four siblings, John (Diane) Shirley, of Freeport, Candice Kay (Rev. William) Spahr, of Plum, Robin Lynn (Darryl) Hepford, of New Kensington, and James (Sandy) Shirley Jr., of Alabama. Those desiring may contribute to the Wounded Warriors Foundation. Please join us to celebrate and honor Sharon's life with visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, by her brother-in-law, the Rev. William Spahr.
