Sigimond Cecchetti Obituary

Sigimond "Babe" Cecchetti, 76, of Jeannette, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in his home. He was born May 15, 1926, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Benjamin and Mary Bergenty Cecchetti. Prior to retirement, he was part owner/operator of Cecchetti Brothers Vending in Jeannette. Babe was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 344, and a life member of Punzo's, both in Jeannette, and the Penn Rod & Gun Club. Babe was an avid golfer and enjoyed his annual trips to Florida in February with his golf traveling group. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Casimerro Cecchetti; and a sister, Emma Koebler. Surviving are a brother, Avande Cecchetti of Jeannette; his longtime companion, Mary Anne Cable of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
