Steven Patrick Obituary

Steven L. "Elmer" Patrick, 77, Windber, went peacefully Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Windber Hospice. He was born July 27, 1934 in Windber, son of Steven and Mary Patrick. He was preceded in death by parents; sister, Theresa Gray; and brothers, John Patrick and George Edward Patrick. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Esther (Alex) Patrick; and these daughters, Rose, wife of Jim Rifilato, of Richland, and Karen, wife of Bob Hall, of Greensburg; grandchildren, Jamie and Annie Rifilato and Steven and Patrick Hall; also survived by sister, Jane McKenzie; sister-in-law, Emma Patrick, both of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews. He was an Army veteran and retired employee Bethlehem Steel, Gautier Division, Johnstown. Steve was a 1995 inductee and member of the Windber Hall of Fame and was a nationally ranked championship duck pin bowler. He was also a member Windber Slovak Club and Windber VFW and American Legion. He was an avid Windber Rambler fan, Penn State and Steelers fan and an avid hunter and trout fisherman. He was a lifelong member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber. Steve was a loving and dependable husband, father and grandfather who was a friend to everyone he met. Friends received from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. Wednesday at the WILLIAM KISIEL FUNERAL HOME, Windber, followed by funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Wednesday at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, with the Rev. George M. Gulash.
