Thaddeus Peckyno

Thaddeus A. "Ted" Peckyno, 69, of Mount Pleasant, PA, died unexpectedly on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from a house fire where he resided. He was born on Sept. 10, 1954, in Charleroi, a son of the late Frank and Angeline Feducia Peckyno. Ted was a graduate of Monessen High School. Early in his life, he was employed at Alcoa and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. He attained the rank of a black belt in karate. Ted was a member of the Gospel Life Tabernacle Church in Mount Pleasant. Ted loved the Lord, his church, and his church family. He also loved music, telling jokes, and sharing puns. He was just a fun person to be around. He is survived by two sisters, Judy Gorecki, and her husband, Joe, of Charleroi, and Marie Woytovich, and her husband, Ed, of Charleroi; nephew, Mitchell Woytovich, and his wife, Katie; niece, Mia Woytovich; and nephew, Jason McCullough, and his wife, Dara; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Frank Peckyno, on May 21, 2024; and his faithful companion, his pet dog, Gretta, whom he loved. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, PA, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, with Rev.
