M. Timothy Horner, 90, of Unity Township, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025, with his wife by his side, whom he loved dearly. He was born May 14, 1935, in Latrobe, a son of the late Frank Horner and Anna F. (King) Horner Chinchock. Prior to retirement he worked at the former ICI in Derry, was a farmer, and was a former dog catcher for Unity Township. Tim lived a life filled with laughter, kindness, and an endless supply of good stories. For 71 years he was the devoted husband of Harriet; side by side they created a life rich in love, hard work, and countless adventures. He loved his farm, hunting, spending time at his camp in Tionesta, attending coon hunters conventions, and being with his family and beloved wife. Everywhere he went there was someone who knew him. Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Tim could make a room light up with a joke, a story, or a good-natured tease. He was a man with a huge heart, someone who made friends easily and left everyone feeling better. His greatest joy was simply spending time with family sharing meals, making memories, and showing his love in countless ways. He served with the U.S. Navy and was a member of Donegal American Legion. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children, Tommy and Amy; stepfather, James Chinchock; three brothers, Wilbert "Butch" and Richard Horner and James Chinchock; his sister, Joyce Horner; and his special dog, Geno. He is survived by his wife, Harriet Ruth (Dishong) Horner; nine children, Mary Trybus (Tim), Jessie Hoburn, Tim Horner (Laurie), Frank Horner, Toni Nemcheck (Tony), Sonya Horner, Rob Horner (Kim), Joyce Jacobs, and Cari Sue Lemasters; 19 grandchildren, Jerry, Chrystal, T.J., Mike, Tim, Courtney, Brandi, Chris, Josh, Racheal, Jen, Dale, Megan, Shelly, Robbie, Ashley, Nathan, Joelle, and Ryan; 30 great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Andrew, Alexis, Jordan, Adrienne, Hannah, Gina, Abby, Luke, Chase, Addy, Kendall, Josie, Lyla, Lainey, Ella, Sophie, Julia, Allie, Dallin, Corbin, Maisie, Chesnie, Hattie, Aria, Nola, Cece, Landon, Maliyah, and Mylin; nine great great-grandchildren, Dillon, Noah, Drew, Madalyn, Asher, Violet, Ainsley, Dymtro and Natalie; a brother, Jack Horner (Eloise); and many nieces and nephews.
