Vicki Dixon Obituary

Vicki L. Dixon, 54, of Jeannette, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, in UPMC Mercy, Pittsburgh, as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by a vehicle. She was born Wednesday, April 11, 1956, in Greensburg, a daughter of Bernard Greggerson and his wife, Liz, of North Huntingdon, and Tywana "Toni" (Mehaffey) Smith and her husband, Robert, of Jeannette. Vicki previously attended the Salvation Army, in Jeannette. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tywana Elizabeth Ann "Tina" Droll; and grandparents, Peg and Randy Mehaffey. In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Dennis Dixon; and two daughters, Amanda Bittner and her husband, Rusty, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Devon McFern, of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Robert, Emma and Abby Bittner and William Stein; seven sisters, Valerie Mezeivtch, of Jeannette, Tammy Gross and her husband, Raymond, of Jeannette, Randi Greggerson, of Greensburg, Cheryl Greggerson, of Ligonier, Peggy Greggerson, of South Carolina, Diana Klingensmith, of Jeannette, and Diane Smith, of Minnesota; a brother, Robert Smith Jr. and Paula, of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, at which time services will be held with Majors John and Alma Riley officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery.
