Wendy Rush Obituary

Wendy Lou Rush, 35, of Hunker, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Nov. 28, 1969, in Jeannette. Wendy was a graduate of Hempfield High School, Class of 1988, and Robert Morris University. She was formerly employed by CPS, Irwin, and she also worked as a beautician at Hair Impressions in Greensburg. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensburg. Wendy's life revolved around her beloved children. She was an avid volunteer at their school, Stanwood Elementary School, where she was known for her artistry, especially the making of murals. Wendy's laughter would light up a room and she shared it with all who knew her. Among her hobbies were cooking, canning and gardening and planning her daughters' birthday celebrations. She is survived by her husband, Roger A. Rush; her three daughters, Alyssa, Paige and Felisha, all at home; her grandmother and stepgrandfather, Ernest and Shirley Parsons, of Greensburg; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roger and Virginia Rush, of Scottdale; a brother, Rusty Anderson, of the state of Arizona; an uncle, Dennis Willochell, of Greensburg; an aunt, Cindy Lou Young and her husband, Harold, of Greensburg, and their sons, Corbin and Peyton Young; her extended family of in-laws, Karen and Tony Fao, of Dawson, and their children, April, Deidra and Dominic; Kim and Mark Schwartz, of Tarrs, and their children, Jason and Jeremy; and Uncle John "Bill" Klug, of Scottdale. She was predeceased by her great-grandmother, Ethel Hunter; a cousin, Devin Willochell; and nephew, Tony Andrew Fao III. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 and 9 p.m. Friday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Roy Butt officiating. Interment will follow in Alverton Cemetery.
