I do think of Bill a lot. He was a true friend that always had a smile on his face. He was nicknamed the "Tank" way back in grade school - he was also the gentle giant, that even then, had a smile on his face. When we saw each other at the Y, we always talked for a bit no matter what we were doing. He didn't deserve this disease - my Father-in-Law, Al Mann also died from this cruel disease and seeing what he went through tore me up. I pray that Bill and Al are resting in peace. Amen

I miss his infectious smile and pleasant demeanor. I always saw Bill (Tank) at the Wilmerding Y with his lovely wife, Sandy and they both were always upbeat. I really never saw Bill in a bad mood and once in awhile we would enjoy a beer together. I knew him since our days at Saint Leocadia Catholic School - he was a gentle giant then and remained that way through his adult years. I had one pleasure and that was providing Bill and Sandy to a couple of Pirate games each year and they both were always so appreciative. They made me feel good just giving them tickets! I think about Bill often - I have his prayer card from his funeral on my fridge and say hello to him at least once a day. Thanks for letting me share my thoughts and they are sincere. Sta Wojton

Sandy _ I just heard about Bill's passing. I am so very sorry for your loss and ours. I always enjoyed talking with Bill because if you were having a bad day that ended quickly due to his overall enthusiasm and fun loving smile. I considered Bill a true friend - he and I go way back to Saint Leocadia's. He was a big guy then, but the nicest guy in the school. Again, sorry for your loss. He will be missed!! Love, Sta Wojton

My deepest condolences to you, Sandy, and the entire family.
Bill was one of my greatest mentors and truly a good friend in all the years I worked beside him. The world is now, sadly, a much quieter place without his booming voice and laughter.
Miss you Billy....

GREW UP WITH BILL (TANK) AS WE ALL KNEW HIM AND HIS BROTHER TIMMY. KNEW ALL THE FAMILY VERY WELL. THE WORLD WILL NOT BE THE SAME NOW THAT TANK WENT WITH HIS FAMILY. HE WILL LIVE FOREVER WITH THE FAMILY HE LEAVES BEHIND.
