William Ruffner Obituary

William F. Ruffner, 83, of North Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Greensburg, died Friday, March 29, 2013, in his home. He was born May 21, 1929, in Luxor, son of the late Jake and Daisy Ruffner. He always dreamed of winning the lottery. He loved woodworking especially building dollhouses. Bill always had a joke or story to tell. He loved playing Santa Claus for the children of North Fort Myers for many years. Bill greatly enjoyed the time with his family and will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim and Jack; and his sisters, Henrietta, Gladys, Annabelle and Mary Jane. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; his daughter, Teana Pearson, of Biloxi, Miss.; his three sons, John and his wife, Diane, of Fort Myers, Fla., Tim and his wife, Robin, of Greensburg, and Ken "Porky" and his wife, Stephanie, of Canonsburg; his sister, Faye and her husband, Joseph Svetkovich, of Greensburg; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Ruffner, of Greensburg, and Carol Vlcek and husband, Joe, of Nashville, Tenn.; his brother-in-law, Dave Depto and wife, Christine, of Orlando, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services were private.
