Benjamin Gobrish Obituary

Benjamin R. Gobrish, 63, of Albemarle, N.C., formerly of Harmarville, died Monday morning, Feb. 29, 2016, in North Carolina. He was born March 6, 1952, in Pittsburgh, to the late Joseph and Garnette Wagner Gobrish. Ben was a retired laborer with the Borough of Salisbury, member of Uwharrie Community Church, graduated from Rowan Community College with a degree in automotives and served in the Air Force during peacetime. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Gobrish; and father of Ben (Debbie) Gobrish, of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and Joey Gobrish, of Troy, N.C. He is survived by his sisters, Patricia (late Jerry) Santarcangelo, of O'Hara, Janet (Mike) Hargenrader and Cindy (Walt) Skibo, both of Harmar; four grandchildren; and brother-in-law of Bill Bryar, of Dorseyville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Garnette Bryar; and brother, Joe (late Lois) Gobrish.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in North Carolina.
