Betty Ann Alfonsi

1936 - 2023

Betty Ann Alfonsi, 87, of Lower Burrell, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, in the Willows at Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont. She was born May 15, 1936, in New Kensington, to the late Joseph and Filodea Sacriponte, and has been resident of Lower Burrell after growing up in Arnold. Mrs. Alfonsi was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell, and enjoyed cooking, baking, playing scrabble and bowling when she was younger. She is survived by her three daughters, Maria Ludwiczak, of New Kensington, Anita Alfonsi, of Allison Park, and Denise (Terry) Schrock, of New Kensington; grandchildren, Jillian (fiance Phillip Call) Ludwiczak, Bryant (fiance Tayler Roach) and Logan Ludwiczak, Lauren, Rachel and Wesley Schrock; brother, James (Connie) Sacriponte, of Greensburg, and Joyce (Jeff Sager) Clark, of New Kensington. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Alfonsi; four siblings, Anthony Sacriponte, Rosena Phillip, Mary Schultz and Weido "Skinny" Sacriponte; and son-in-law, Mark "Lefty" Ludwiczak. Friends will be received from 11:30 a.m. until time of Christian funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3055 Leechburg Road.
