Christine Hamilton, age 93, of White Oak, PA, died on Friday, July 26, 2024, at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born in McKeesport, PA, on July 8, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Dr. Arthur Henry, Sr. and Henrietta Michael Hartman. Christine graduated from the Pennsylvania College for Women, now Chatham University, in an era when this was not commonplace for women. She was a member of the McKeesport College Club, and the 20th Century Club, where Christine served as past president in both clubs. She also volunteered for McKeesport Meals on Wheels, the McKeesport Regional History and Heritage Center, the McKeesport High School Alumni Association, as well as many, many other organizations and charities that are too many to mention. She was absolutely one of the kindest women ever born. She truly loved her children and her many, many friends with whom she spent so much time enjoying her life. She is survived by her children, Barbara (Joseph Potts) Hamilton of White Oak, PA, and Robert 'Bob' (Colene) Hamilton, also of White Oak, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her siblings, Walter Hartman and Arthur Henry (the late Norma Jean) Hartman, Jr., and many beloved pets. Family and friends will gather on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. A burial will follow at Long Run Cemetery in North Huntingdon, PA. If friends desire, memorial contributions may be made in Christine's name to the White Oak Animal Safe Haven, 2295 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131. The family would like to mention a very special thank you to Kristen McCartny, Cindy McNamara, and Kathy Thorton for the wonderful care that they gave to Christine.
