David Caldwell Obituary

David M. Caldwell, 72, of Newark, Ohio, formerly of North Apollo, died Thursday (Oct. 3, 2002) in the Newark Healthcare Centre, Newark, Ohio.

He was born Dec. 14, 1929, in North Apollo. An Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. He retired in 1985 from the Newark Air Force Base as a missile guidance technician with 37 years of employment. Mr. Caldwell was a member of Acme Masons Lodge, member and past commander of Ashara Masons Lodge in Elizabethtown, Land of Legend Rifle and Pistol Club, National Rifle Association, American Legion and Antique Outboard Motor Club. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Granger Caldwell, and two sons, D.M. Caldwell of Columbus, Ohio, and Sherm (Connie) Caldwell of Dublin, Ohio. Also surviving are two granddaughters, Brittany and Chelsea Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron F. and Ruth L. Klingensmith Caldwell. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the BRUCKER & KISHLER FUNERAL HOME, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, Ohio, where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday. Officiating will be the Rev. William J. Rauch. Burial will be in Newark Memorial Gardens. Masonic services are set for 5:45 p.m. today in the funeral home.
