David Stevenson Obituary

David E. Stevenson, 79 of West Deer Township, died Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh surrounded by his family. He was born March 29, 1944, in Pittsburgh, to the late George H. and Edith C. (Zimmerman) Stevenson. David grew up in Dorseyville, graduating from Etna High School in 1962. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. David worked as a machine operator for Paper Craft Inc., Volkswagen as a specialized repairman, Contraves Corp. as an optical technician, a heavy equipment repairman for Casey Equipment and then as a pharmacy technician for Giant Eagle. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, following Pittsburgh sports and watching his grandchildren play sports. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Annette L. (Swab) Stevenson; his children, David L. (Lori) Stevenson, of Kittanning, James C. (Christie) Stevenson, of Indiana Township, John A. (Lisa) Stevenson, of DuBois, Ginger L. (Chad) Stevenson-Clarke, of Middlesex Township, and Thomas A. (Erin) Stevenson, of Russellton; and nine grandchildren. At David's request a private family viewing, funeral service and burial were held. Arrangements were entrusted to the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to West Deer EMS, 101 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024.
