David Sundo Obituary

David D. Sundo, 59, formerly of Natrona Heights and Blawnox passed, away Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. He was the husband of the late Colleen Sundo. David was born Nov. 27 1957, In Pittsburgh, a son of the late Regis A. and Mary Margaret (Kunz) Sundo. David attended Highlands High School and the University of Pittsburgh, Titusville, where he met his future wife, Colleen. They married at Our Lady of Loretto Church, Oct. 16, 1982. David lived a life well-lived, much-loved end well-respected, often giving others the shirt off his back. He was the owner for many years of Main Beer Dist. in Sharpsburg, where he made many friends throughout his lifetime, and part owner of Alpha Graphics in Ohio, with his very close cousin, Jeff Brucker, David retired at the age of 45 and moved to West Hickory, near Tionesta. David is survived by his loving daughter, Danielle (Brett) Reynolds: proud grandfather of Dominic and Roman Reynolds; brother of Douglas (Debora) Sundo, Daniel (Jeanie) Sundo, Dara (Terry) Sundo and Duane (Jana Belle) Sundo; and by many nieces and nephews, friends end relatives. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen (Holland) Sundo, who died March 26, 1986.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at WORRELL FUNERAL HOME INC., Sharpsburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Monday at St. Juan Diego Parish in Madonna of Jerusalem Church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to UPMC Mercy, c/o Colleen Sundo Fund, UPMC Mercy Development Office, 140 Locust St., Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or to Lost Dreams Awakening, 408 8th St. Rear, New Kensington, PA 15068.

Dave was such a kind soul with a witty sense of humor and always willing to lend a hand. I have so many wonderful memories from our college days. I shared a picture from Pitt's "Littlest Panther" yearbook here earlier today; I'll always remember Dave just the way he looked in 1977 :o).
