Deloris M. Howard, 78, of Allegheny Township, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at home. She was born Feb. 28, 1933, in Morgan County, Ky., a daughter of the late Clay Byrd and Elizabeth A. Byrd. She lived most of her life in Lexington, Ky., and in Allegheny Township the past five years. She was of the Protestant faith and a homemaker. Survivors include her children, Anita A. (Jeffrey) Byers, of Allegheny Township, Bernard C. Howard, of Lexington, Ky., Mary R. (Michael) Guilfoil, of Athens, Ky., Florence M. (Warren) Cobb, of Nicholausville, Ky., and Bridgette E. Howard, of Lexington, Ky.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Graham (Karen) Byrd, of Xenia, Ohio; and sisters, Helen Madeck, of Lexington, Ky., Nell (Clyde) Burton, of Dayton, Ohio, Florence Grounds, of Lexington, Ky., and Nancy Hollbrook, of Columbus, Ohio. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Eldon Howard, in 1982; daughter, Merita Faye Howard; sister, Margaret Keely; and half sister, Levonna. No local visitation.
