Donna J. Peterman

Donna J. Peterman, 75, of Unity Township, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Independence Health System Westmoreland Hospital. She was born on May 7, 1950, in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Stephen and Virginia (Achammer) Zabkar. Prior to her retirement, Donna worked at Adelphoi Village as a food administrator for over 20 years. She was also a former hair stylist when her children were growing up. Donna loved living out in the country, where she enjoyed seeing the wildlife. She would spend a lot of time outside feeding them and tending to her porch kitties. She was an amazing cook and would make so many wonderful dishes for her family and friends. She was a generous person that cared for others and always made it a priority to donate to charities close to her heart like St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and ASPCA. She loved the Peanuts character Snoopy and treasured collecting items that she came across relating to that special cartoon beagle. Her favorite holiday was Halloween, and she loved to decorate her bedroom year-round with her Halloween light-ups. Her children will remember the special bond that their loving parents shared and the dinner date nights that the two of them would spend together. Her family was so important to her, and she would always say that her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gregory Peterman, whom she married on June 14, 1969. She is survived by her children, Stephen Peterman, Michelle Peterman (George), and Dylan; her grandchildren, Charity, Patrick, and Maddison; her sister, Sandie, and her husband, George; and numerous friends that she cared for. Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, in HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, PA 15650. A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.
