Donna M. Simpson

1941 - 2022

Donna Mae (Mercurio) Simpson, 81, of Natrona Heights, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. Born Oct. 28, 1941, in Tarentum, she was a daughter of the late Michael A. Mercurio and Vada Mae (Stauffer) Mercurio. Donna was a 1959 graduate of East Deer/Frasier High School. She was an excellent seamstress, liked reading and loved Elvis Presley. Donna most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Lloyd and Pauline Shoop; and an infant brother, Paul J. Mercurio. Donna is survived by her husband of 31 years, Neal J. Simpson; daughter, Paula A. (George) Crim, of Steubenville, Ohio; son, William M. Shores, of Tarentum; stepsons, Matthew L. Simpson, of Natrona Heights, and Gregory J. (Kelly) Simpson, of Sewickley; grandchildren, Jessica F. (Shores) Williams and her husband, Patrick, and Maxwell K. Partin; five step-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Poli, of Brackenridge; and nieces and nephews. At Donna's request, all services are private and have been entrusted to the CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, Leechburg.
