Edward L. Brucker

1944 - 2021

Edward L. Brucker, 77, of Oklahoma Borough, passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, in QLS-West Haven Manor, Washington Township. Born Jan. 25, 1944, in Wilkinsburg, he was the son of the late Edward H. Brucker and Ann (Neugebauer) Brucker. Ed was a graduate of Scott High School in Wilkinsburg, Class of 1961, and proudly served our country with the Air Force. Ed worked as a machinist for U.S. Steel in Homestead until they closed, then worked in the same position at the Hyde Park Foundry, retiring in 2001. Ed enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially shore fishing for shark, and was a member of Spring Church Sportsmen's Club. He loved working in his personal machine shop in his basement. Ed liked biking, playing cards with his friends and family, and enjoyed walking with his friends, Bill and Terry, at Northmoreland Park. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his beloved walking buddy, his dog, Moses. Ed is survived by his wife and love of his life of 39 years, Dolores J. "Dolly" (Milauskas) Brucker; sons, Edward W. Brucker, of Monroeville, Brian K. (Tara) Brucker, of Murrysville; grandchildren, Kaylin, Ava, Dakoda, Owen, Ashton and Dylan Brucker; sisters, Carol (Ted) Haase, of Knoxville, Tenn., Sue (Don) McGuire, of Bell Township, Lee (Sean) Sirric, of Jeannette; and his beloved dog, Lacey. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2021, at CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, PA 15613.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct.12, 2021, in Our Lady Queen Of Peace Catholic Church, East Vandergrift, with Father Michael Sciberras as celebrant. Everyone please meet at the church. Entombment is in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell, with military honors accorded by Vandergrift veterans honor guard.
