Evelyn I. Claypool

Evelyn I. (Rosen) Claypool, 89, of Leechburg, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at Premier Care Armstrong in Kittanning. A daughter of the late John Rosen and Annabelle (Slease) Rosen, she was born Nov. 23, 1931, in Kittanning. Evelyn had been employed as a shoe clerk and bookkeeper for 50 years by Miller's Shoes in Vandergrift and Natrona Heights before retiring. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family and her dear friends at Friendship Apartments. Survivors include her son, Ronald Claypool (Debra), of Leechburg; two grandchildren, Molly Hill (David Reed) and Jamie Hill; great-grandchildren, Jaden Phillips (Kirsten), Tanner Reed and Chloe Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Thomas H. "Tim" Claypool in 2004; and three sisters, Leona "Sissy" Humenick, Betty Jane Piper and Donna Belle Valdez. There will be no public visitation or funeral ceremonies. Arrangements have been entrusted to the CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg (724-842-1051).
