Frank Ehrman Obituary

Frank N. Ehrman Jr., 83, of Fawn, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2005, at home after a lengthy illness.

Born Nov. 16, 1921, in Harrison, the son of the late Frank N. Sr. and Dorothy Turner Ehrman he lived in the area all of his life. He was a technical sergeant for the 8th Air Force during World War II.

Mr. Ehrman was a steelworker in dept. 11 and dept. 3 of Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge, for 37 years before retiring in 1978 and worked for the railroad before his military service.

He was a member of Center United Methodist Church, Fawn; Methodist Men; the Loyal Adult Sunday school class; the Bull Creek Sportsman Club; the Buffalo Township Senior Citizens, and the Natrona Heights VFW and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Carrie E. (Kurn) Ehrman; sons, David Ehrman (Kathie) of Brackenridge, and Robert Ehrman (Mary) of Sarver; grandchildren, Kye, Craig, Leah and McKay; three stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren, and brother, Paul G. Ehrman (Inge) of Alamogordo, N.M.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Fred and Jack Ehrman, a sister Eudora Fullerton, infant brother Billy and infant sisters Verda and Gloria.

There will be no public visitation. The public is invited to attend services at 11 a.m. Saturday in Center United Methodist Church with his pastor, the Rev. James Gascoine, officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Sarverville Cemetery, Buffalo Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the Frank Ehrman Jr. Memorial Fund of Center United Methodist Church, 1575 Donnellville Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 or hospice.
