Frank W. Hines

Frank W. "Sonny" Hines, 84, of Clinton Township, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born Sept. 28, 1938, in Glenshaw, to the late Frank T. and Mary E. (Winshell) Hines. Frank grew up in Etna, graduating from Conley Trade School in 1956. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Frank has lived in Clinton Township for the past 48 years. He was a former member of All Saints Catholic Church, Etna. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and junking. Survivors include his sister, Margaret (Hines) Weston, of Leechburg; and nieces and nephews, Linda (John) Poney, of Ford City, Frank (Sue) Weston, of Leechburg, Lewis (Jamie) Weston, of Leechburg, and Margaret (Donald) Snyder, of Saxonburg. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Frank T. Hines, Nov. 2, 2005; and his sister, Mary Ann Tormey. Family will receive friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.
