Frank Pitlock Obituary

Frank J. Pitlock, 82, of Saxonburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 14, 1923, in Harwick, Springdale Township, to the late John and Frances Copcheck Pitlock.

Mr. Pitlock was a sergeant in the Army Air Forces during World War II.

He was a foreman in the picking department of Moonlight Mushroom before retiring in 1982.

He was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot; Saxonburg VFW Post 7376; Saxonburg American Legion Post 683, and the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed woodworking, going to auctions and antique shows, the outdoors and camping.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Hutzler Pitlock, whom he married Feb. 28, 1949; sisters, Mary Ellen Rearick of Cranberry, and Nellie Ann Albert of New Brighton, and several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the FOX FUNERAL HOME INC., 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Church by the Rev. John Getsy. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Herman. Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001 or St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
