Genevieve A. Bogan

Genevieve "Genny" A. Bogan, 83, of Lighthouse Pointe Village in Fox Chapel, formerly of Lower Burrell, died Friday, July 18, 2025, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born in Harrison Township on Feb. 12, 1942, to the late Antoni Stanley and Genevieve Constance Orkwiszewski Kolodziejski and had been a resident of Lower Burrell since 1983. Previously, she lived in Florida, South Carolina, Kansas, Arizona, Spain, Illinois, Iceland, and Georgia. Mrs. Bogan worked as a secretary for Prolab Services in Allegheny Valley Hospital for 18 years, PPG in Harmarville for 10 years, GC Murphy's in Natrona Heights, and a housing department in Iceland. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell; the Red Hat Society; and Hells Bells in Red in Brackenridge. She enjoyed line dancing, needlepoint, crocheting, and home cooking and baking. She is survived by her two children, Danielle D. Bogan of Pittsburgh and Phillip M. Bogan of Sykesville, MD; two grandchildren, Gunnar Rainer Bogan and Sonja Vanvick Bogan; a sister, Theresa (Terry) Enfiejian of Stafford, VA; and sister-in-law, Barbara Kolodziejski of Cranberry Township. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Stanley Bogan Jr.; and brothers, Daniel Robert and Anthony Kolodziejski. Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 21, 2025, at RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road, at Alder St., where Prayers of Transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, followed by a Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell.
